Reasons to Attend:

Connections IRL

Our focus for NEXT Venture Pitch has always been to connect- we believe connections made today, open doors for tomorrow. And with this event, you can get ahead of the game! Our annual conference boasts valuable connections with innovators, investors, and attendees- but why wait until September 16th to have all the fun? Come on out to support your local entrepreneurs as the Carolina scene is continuing to be on the rise with next level innovation. Come meet Allyson Eman, CEO of Venture Atlanta, there to say a few words about their top conference in the Southeast for entrepreneurs and VCs. In addition, John McDonough, Greenville’s City Manager will be there to speak about some exciting things coming to Greenville. This will be a great way to connect to the local and surrounding areas’ entrepreneurial scene.

Startups, On Screen (The BIG Screen)

Everyone loves a competition- and our pitch semi-finalists showdown will be a tough match to call. Each semi finalist will submit a 3-minute pitch video to be played on the Jumbotron for all to see.

The Vote Lies with YOU

That’s right, not only do you get to pass judgement on the pitch presentations, you get to cast your vote for your favorite companies! With only a handful of companies advancing to the on-stage competition on September 16th, your vote is crucial in deciding who gets to step into the spotlight. So channel your inner Mark Cuban or Lori Grenier, or whoever is your favorite Shark Tank judge, because on September 1st, the vote is in your hands. Must purchase a VIP ticket to be eligible to vote.

Hot Chicken? Yes Please.

No need to skip dinner to join the party- Yeehaw Brewing offers specialty beers on tap, plus infamous Prince’s Hot Chicken is available to order on-site. Mouth not already watering? Read more about the arrival of Prince’s Hot Chicken to Greenville here.

Meet the Semifinalists

This pre-screening event to the conference will be a great way to see the types of companies that are making an impact in our region- so that you can say “you knew them when…”

So go ahead and block that calendar for September 1st and September 16th, and be a part of something special supporting Innovation in the Carolina’s- and have some fun while you’re at it. There will be a lot of exciting things going on, some in between speakers and announcements and overall some great hype for the upcoming conference. Trust us, you’ll have a good time!
